M.G. White
Personal Profile
Dr. Michael G. White is a professor of film production and theory at Wayne State College. He holds a BS and MsE from WSC and an EdD from the University of South Dakota. He has an extensive background in many aspects of television and film production. As an instructor, he teaches producing, cinematography, sound, and advanced post-production. Mike also teaches film criticism, specializing in French Wave Wave cinema.

Prior to his doctorate, White’s professional experience included producing award-winning content for television and advertising. His recent feature films, "Ever Fallen," "To Live Again," and "The Cross," have gained both regional and national attention. All have gone on to win a variety of awards, including a two-time win as the Star City Best Filmmaker Award and the 2023 Iowa Motion Picture Doug Hawley Presidents Award for Lifetime Achievement in Film.
